Wedding proposals in Dubai can reach staggering costs of up to AED250,000, shared an event planner with Arabian Business.
The trend leans towards “golden hour” settings along the coastline with views of the Burj Al Arab or rooftop venues overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
Dubai is ascending as one of the globe’s premier destinations for proposals and weddings, attracting couples worldwide for their memorable occasions.
Caroline Ralston, Founder and CEO of Dubai’s Proposal Boutique, noted that while typical proposals average AED40,000, they can escalate to AED250,000.
“95 percent of clients desire the grand Dubai backdrop, often requesting the Burj Khalifa or Burj Al Arab as their setting and opting for professional photographers and videographers to capture the moment for sharing on social media,” she explained.
In recent years, the demand for proposal event planning has soared, with Ralston predicting record-high figures for this year. Her portfolio boasts extravagant proposals, from private zoos to football fields and even Disney-themed affairs in the Burj Khalifa.
Dubai’s prominence in destination weddings is also on the rise. With a global market value estimated at $28.3 billion, couples from around the world are increasingly choosing Dubai for their wedding celebrations and honeymoon getaways, either as the primary destination or as a layover en route to other destinations like the Maldives.
“Dubai is truly spearheading wedding and honeymoon tourism in the region. Dubai Tourism is actively promoting stopovers in Dubai, fueling the trend for multi-sector honeymoons,” Ralston remarked.
