Saudi Arabia’s Tennis Event: Djokovic, Nadal, Alcaraz, Medvedev, Sinner, and Rune Set to Compete in 6 Kings Slam in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia to Host Tennis Legends in Inaugural 6 Kings Slam Tournament

The inaugural 6 Kings Slam tennis tournament is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring some of the sport’s biggest names including Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.


Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Shikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced the tournament as part of the Riyadh Season 2024 festivities, scheduled for October.

The event will showcase a total of around 50 Grand Slam titles among six top-ranked players, including Novak Djokovic, the current world number one and widely regarded as one of the greatest men’s tennis players of all time. Also participating is Rafael Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion and tennis legend.


Expressing his enthusiasm, Djokovic stated, “I am excited to return to Riyadh and play in front of all my fans in Saudi Arabia.” Nadal echoed his sentiments, expressing his happiness to participate in the 6 Kings Slam and his excitement about playing in Riyadh for the first time.


Joining them is Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, who expressed his joy at returning to Riyadh and showcasing his skills once again. Former US Open winner Daniil Medvedev, currently ranked third in the world, also expressed his excitement about returning to Saudi Arabia and participating in the tournament.


Jannik Sinner, the Australian Open winner and world number four, and emerging Danish talent Holger Rune, ranked seventh in the world, complete the lineup of elite players set to compete in Riyadh for the first time.

The 6 Kings Slam tournament follows a series of successful international sports and entertainment events hosted by the Riyadh Season, drawing prominent players and recording impressive numbers of visitors and fans.
