More than 30,000 Palestinians have reportedly lost their lives in Gaza since Israel initiated its military offensive almost five months ago, according to the Hamas-run health ministry’s announcement on Thursday.

The escalating situation raises concerns about an increasing humanitarian crisis, especially as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu focuses military actions on the southern border city of Rafah, while the threat of famine grows in the north.

The health ministry reported that 30,035 individuals have lost their lives in Gaza since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Additionally, 70,457 Palestinians have sustained injuries during the assault, according to the ministry.
